How To Make Homemade Beef Makhani Handi Pakistani Food Recipe With Step-By-Step Instructions


  • Cloves (6 to 7 )
  • Cinnamon Stick (2 to 3 )
  • Boneless beef (1 kilogram)
  • Black Cardamon (3 pieces)
  • Green Cardamon ( 4 to 5 pieces)
  • Cumin Seeds (1/2 tbsp)
  • Cashew Nuts ( 2o to 25 )
  • Fresh Mints Leaves (1/4 cup)
  • Green Chilies (3 to 4 chilies)
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves (1/4 cup)
  • Water (1/4 cup or as required)
  • Onion (3 medium-sizes), sliced
  • Tomatoes (3 medium-sizes), chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger & Garlic Paste (2 tbsp)
  • Turmeric Powder (1/2 tsp)
  • Cooking Oil or Canola Oil (1/2 cup
  • Water (2 to 3 cups or as required), to tender the meat
  • Tikka Masala Powder (1 tbsp)
  • Crushed Whole Coriander Seeds (1 tbsp)
  • Red Chili Powder (1 tsp)
  • Garam Masala Powder (1/2 tsp)
  • Yogurt (3/4 cup), whisked
  • Fresh Cream (1/2 cup)
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves (2 tbsp)
  • Butter as required

Homemade Beef Makhani Pakistani Food Recipe


  1. In a grinder add cloves, cinnamon sticks, black & green cardamom, cumin seeds, and cashew nuts.
  2. Grind to make a powder.
  3. Now add fresh mint, green chilies, fresh coriander and water.
  4. Grind it to make a paste.
  5. Set it aside.
  6. In a pressure cooker add beef, sliced onion, chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste along with water.
  7. Give a mix to everything.
  8. Cover the pressure cooker and cook the beef on a medium flame for 20-25 minutes or till the beef gets tender. (If you are not using a pressure cooker adjust the water level and timing till the beef gets properly tender).
  9. Change the pot and add cooking oil it the beef.
  10. Let extra water be reduced from beef on high flame. (4-5 minutes).
  11. Add tikka masala, red chili powder, coriander seeds, and garam masala powder.
  12. Mix well and fry till oil separates.
  13. Turn the flame to low and add yogurt.
  14. Give a mix, and add prepared cashew paste in the beef.
  15. Turn the flame to medium and cook for 2-3 minutes until oil separates.
  16. Turn the flame to low again and add fresh cream.
  17. Give a mix, turn the flame to medium, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  18. Add chopped fresh coriander and mix well.
  19. Top with butter and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
  20. Delicious beef makhani is ready to enjoy.
