IngredientsHomemade Kadai \ Karahi Masala Powder Pakistani Food Recipe

  • Black Peppercorn (1 tbsp)
  • Cumin Seeds ( 2 tbsp)
  • Coriander Seeds (4 tbsp)
  • Kashmiri Red Chili Powder ( 1 tbsp)
  • Crushed Red Chili ( 1 tbsp)
  • Dry Fenugreek Leaves ( 1 tbsp)
  • Salt ( 1 tsp)
  • Citric Acid (1/2 tsp)
  • Cinnamon Stick ( 2 sticks)
  • Green Cardamom ( 3 pieces)
  • Cloves ( 6 pieces )
  • Bay Leaves ( 2 leaves)
  • Dry Red Chili (3 chilies)

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat the pan without using oil and add dry roast peppercorn, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds for a few minutes
  2. Remove from the flame and transfer to the bowl set aside
  3. Separately dry roast other whole spices fenugreek leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, bay leaves. cardamom and dry red chili in a pan on low flame, take them out into a bowl
  4. Now take a grinder jar/coffee jar put peppercorn, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds grind them for a minute
  5. Now add fenugreek leaves, cinnamon sticks, cloves, bay leaves, green cardamom
  6. Grind them together coarsely for 2 minutes should not make a fine powder
  7. Transfer all roasted and ground spices to the bowl then add citric acid, salt, crushed red chili, and Kashmiri Mirch, give it to good stir to well combine
  8. Karahi gosht masala powder is ready to use in a recipe
  9. It Can be stored in an airtight bottle for up to more than 2 months to keep in a cool place
