Lab-e-Shireen is a classic Arabian cuisine and Eid dessert in Pakistan. This is rich flavored custard with vermicelli, fresh fruits, dried fruits, fresh cream, and jelly. It tastes best when it’s nicely chill. Make and keep it in the fridge for 1 day before serving, this way it will taste perfect. Here I am showing you how to make this recipe with step-by-step instructions. So let’s start the recipe.
Ingredients For This Delicious Dessert Recipe:
Milk: Use any milk (dairy or non-dairy) here. Almond milk is great in this smoothie for a lower-calorie option.
Colored Vermicelli: Use colorful vermicelli because with color vermicelli looking the recipe more attractive. Vermicelli is the main ingredient of that recipe.
Fresh Cream: Fresh cream is given to your recipe with a creamy and yummy texture so that is why the cream is good for that recipe and also healthy for your health so don’t skip this ingredient.
Sugar: Use sugar. If you don’t like sugar you can also use sweetened condensed milk
Garnishing The Recipe: Use chopped almond, chopped pistachios, and Jelly (red, yellow, green), and Fruit Cocktail.
How To Make Lab E Shireen Pakistani Food Recipe Step By Step Instructions:
- Jelly Pack (banana flavor, strawberry flavor) 2 pack
- Cream (1 cup)
- Mix Fruit Cocktail Can (1 cup )
- Milk (one liter)
- Vermicelli (1/2 cup)
- Sugar (1/2 cup)
- Vanilla Custard Powder (3 to 4 tbsp)
- Chopped almonds, chopped pistachios (for garnishing)
1. Step One:
Make the jellies. Boil the one cup of water and then add banana jelly pack and cook only 5 minutes. After 5 to 7 minutes, turn off the flame and pour the jelly into the small size of the bowl, and set aside it.
In the same process, make the strawberry jelly and set aside it too.
Take a bowl and add one cup of fresh cream and also add one cup of mixed fruit cocktail can. And mix together and set aside it.
Make the vermicelli. Take a large pot and add one-liter milk and bring to boil it. After a boil, the milk then turns to medium flame then add one cup of vermicelli in it. Also, add sugar to it. Cook for 10 minutes.
In another small bowl add 3 tbsps of vanilla custard powder and 1/4 cup of water. Mix well
Now pour this custard into the vermicelli and cook it. When milk gets thicken texture then turns the flame.
After cool down, the vermicelli then adds a cream & fruit cocktail to this pot and mix it.
Assembling the Lab e Shireen in a bowl:
- Spread the jelly cubes
- Now spread the vermicelli
- On the top, again garnished with jelly and chopped almond and pistachios
- Chill in the fridge before serving the dessert
