Lotus Root (Different Style) Pakistani Food Recipe (With Video)

Today, I'm making lotus root but in different styles. I am not using other veggies and meat in it. It is a very simple recipe and I'm also making a very simple method.

Ingredients

  • 1 Onion Slices
  • 4 Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • ½ kg Lotus Root
  • 6 Green Chilies
  • 2 tbsp Achar Powder
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tbsp Salt
  • ½ tbsp Kalonji (fennel flower)
  • Green Coriander Leaves

Instructions

  • Take a large pan, add cooking oil or olive oil, and heat on the high flame
  • Add onion slices and cook until then its change the color
  • Now, turn to the medium flame of the stove
  • Add lotus root and mix it
  • Add one cup of water and mix it
  • Cover and cook 5 minutes for lotus root to get tender
  • After 5 minutes, add tomatoes and green chilies and mix together
  • Add achar powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, kalonji, and mix all spices together
  • Cover and cook for more than 5 minutes on the low flame and remove extra water from the lotus root
  • After 5 minutes, add taste to salt and mix it
  • Add green coriander leaves and dish out this delicious lotus root recipe
  • Serves with roti, naan, or rice and enjoy with your family
