Ingredients:

  • Custard Powder (vanilla flavor) 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Milk  2 & 1/2 cups (you can also use almond milk or soya milk)
  • Warm Milk 1/4 cup (to make dissolved custard powder)
  • 4 to 5 tbsp of Sugar
  • Apple 1 medium size
  • Banana 1 medium size (ripe)
  • Mango 1/2 large (ripe)
  • Pomegranate 1/2 medium size (ripe )

How To Make Fruit Custard:

  1. Rinse the fruit thoroughly and chill them in the fridge
  2. Refrigerating after chopping will let out juices from the cut fruits making the custard runny
  3. Take a bottom pot and add 2 & 1/2 cups of milk and bring to hot it
  4. Then add sugar & stir until it dissolves
  5. Meanwhile, add custard powder to a small cup and stir it with 1/4 cup of warm milk
  6. The mixture has to be smooth without any lumps
  7. When milk turns hot not to boiling, pout 2 tbsp of the custard mixture to the hot milk. Whisk well
  8. Repeat adding another 2 tbsp of custard mixture to the milk and whisk well
  9. You may taste test it at this stage and add more sugar if needed
  10. Keep string and cook on low and medium heat until the custard turns thick
  11. The custard must coat the back of the spoon well but must be yet of runny consistency
  12. Take it off the heat and cover it immediately. Cool it completely and chill in the fridge
  13. Whisk the custard before the serving
  14. Peel and chop the fruits to bite-size and add them to serving bowl or individual serving cups
  15. Pour the custard over the fruits and gently mix it
  16. Serve fruit custard immediately
